SimulatorVideoGrabber is a macOS utility for recording iOS Simulator windows, trimming clips, adding device presentation, and exporting finished videos. This Privacy Policy explains what information is handled by the app and related services.

Local Recordings and Exports

Recordings, thumbnails, trim settings, background audio choices, and exported videos are created and stored locally on your Mac in the output locations you choose. We do not automatically upload your Simulator recordings or exported videos to our servers.

Information We Process

• Simulator device information needed to detect available booted devices and active windows.
• Local app settings such as output folder, export preset, orientation, background style, frame finish, and audio mix choices.
• Subscription status and purchase information handled through Apple's StoreKit infrastructure when Pro features are used.
• Diagnostics you voluntarily send to us when requesting support.

Data We Do Not Intentionally Collect

SimulatorVideoGrabber is not designed to collect contacts, photos outside selected recording or audio files, precise location, browsing history, passwords, or unrelated files on your Mac.

How Information Is Used

• Detect Simulator devices and record from the active Simulator window.
• Generate timeline thumbnails, trim clips, add device frames, mix audio, and export video files.
• Remember local preferences so the capture workflow stays efficient.
• Validate access to Pro features such as watermark-free export or soundtrack controls.
• Respond to support requests and troubleshoot issues you report.

Third Parties

Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. Apple may provide transaction and entitlement information needed to unlock paid features. We do not sell personal data or use your recordings for advertising.

Retention and Deletion

Local recordings and exports remain on your Mac until you delete them. Support emails and diagnostics are retained only as long as reasonably needed to answer your request, maintain the product, or comply with legal obligations.

Security

Because recordings are stored locally, protecting your Mac account, disk, backups, and selected output folders is important. We recommend using a device passcode, FileVault, and trusted storage locations for confidential app demos.

Children's Privacy

SimulatorVideoGrabber is intended for developers and is not directed to children.
