By downloading, installing, or using SunMeter (the “App”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
You may use the App for personal, non-commercial sun safety planning and wellness tracking. You agree not to misuse the App, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, or use it in violation of applicable laws.
SunMeter provides informational estimates only. UV levels, burn-time estimates, skin type suggestions, sunscreen reminders, and notifications are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical concerns, skin conditions, sun sensitivity, medication interactions, or personalized health guidance.
UV forecasts, weather data, burn-time calculations, reminders, and Live Activity timers may be delayed, unavailable, or inaccurate. You are responsible for using judgment outdoors, following sunscreen instructions, seeking shade, and responding to changing conditions.
Optional AI skin type detection is an automated estimate and may be wrong. You are responsible for reviewing and adjusting the selected skin type before relying on burn-time calculations.
Some features may require a subscription or in-app purchase. Purchases are handled by Apple and may be managed or cancelled through your Apple account settings. Subscription availability, pricing, trial periods, and renewal terms may vary by region and storefront.
The App may depend on Apple services, weather providers, AI processing, analytics, and subscription infrastructure. We are not responsible for outages, restrictions, inaccurate data, or changes in third-party services.
You remain responsible for the settings, photos, session records, and other information you provide to the App. See our Privacy Policy for details about how information is handled.
The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, perfect forecast accuracy, correct burn-time estimates, or error-free operation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the App, including sunburn, health impacts, inaccurate forecasts, missed notifications, data loss, or inability to use connected services.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes become effective means you accept the revised Terms.
